This last Saturday Andy and I had a rare opportunity to go out! The lady I used to work for's husband was throwing her a huge suprise party complete with her favorite band coming into town and playing for it. So, my dear sister Laura came in, we got Grayson in bed and I nursed Avery. Then, off we went. I got a text about 30 minutes later letting me know both kids were snoozing, so we were able to enjoy without worry. We had to go back home so I could nurse Avery again, but then we went back out for another 45 minutes or so. I had to take advantage of the baby-sitting we had :) We had a great time. It was so nice to get out just Andy and I. We don't do it too often so it was about time! The first time Grayson spent the night anywhere was when I had Avery. And I'm pretty sure the last time we went out before that (other than Financial Peace or Growth Group) was for our anniversary, last August! So we're going to try and do a bit more, it's hard though. I have a hard time making us a priority because we really don't feel too burdened by our kids. I've accepted that Avery will be attached to me, literally, for the next year and it was the same with Grayson. But, just because we don't feel the burden, doesn't mean we shouldn't take time for just us. Here's to some date nights in the future!
