Children's Museum
Grayson, Audrey and I loaded up into the car yesterday and headed to the Children's Museum. Now, let me say, I despise the Children's Museum. I think with small kids it's a form of torture. It helps when someone goes with, so we met my sister and nieces there and spent about an hour and a half living it up on an otherwise-icky-outside day. Grayson loved playing in the resteraunt with everything at his level. He did keep trying to escape out the railing! We then headed to the tool room and he cleared out some shelves. Last stop was his absolute favorite...the discovery table. It was full of birdseed and rice. My first reaction was, "Absolutely not!" When I was in kindergarten, I had a hangnail with a band-aid on it and got a piece of rice stuck in it which led to a nasty infection and me losing my fingernail. So, I'm traumatized of all rice tables :) I overcame my fear and let the kid play (cleaning his hands thoroughly afterwards). He LOVED it! He spent the whole time playing in it, shoveling everything up and dumping it out. It was a nice way to get out of the house.
