Christmas has come and gone...

Hi! Here we are, still at the hospital. Grayson's doing well. He's eating better, but still is kind of random in how much he wants to eat. We are always having him get at least 40 cc in because that's the minimum he needs in order to gain weight. Crazy that 40 cc is only a little over one ounce! What a little tummy. He was eating up to 55 cc quite a bit, but now hovers closer to 42-44 cc. He came out of the isolette this morning to test how he can maintain temp. He was snuggled into us for the morning and held his temperature perfectly. After he ate he was a little chilly and we put him in the open bassinet to be sure he could bring it up on his own. Sure enough, he did. So, we just keep watching him and hope to see him eating a bit more vigorously. I can keep him all bundled and warm at home, but I can't make him eat and gain weight. He's up to 4 lbs 10.6 oz. He was 4 lbs 9.6 oz yesterday and 4 lbs 7.5 oz on Christmas eve day. His lowest was 4 lb 4 oz. So, he's gaining and is only 4 ounces from his birthweight. Christmas in the hospital was quite an experience, but we made the best of it. We watched movies and had family stop by. My mom and sister brought Christmas dinner here and it was pretty tasty. I also ran home for about an hour. It was nice to see home and pick out my own clothes for a change. It was hard to be there knowing Grayson was at the hospital, but Andy and him are a pretty good pair :) It was also hard leaving home again and being back at the hospital. Soon enough we'll be there though. We really want to bring home a baby that will do well and not have to be rushed back. So, maybe tomorrow or maybe the next day we'll be headed home, but there is really no way to know. It's all up to our little peanut right now. We'll let you know though!
