A Trip to Anthony Lakes

Andy, Grayson, Otis and I packed up for a trip to Anthony Lakes to go camping a couple of weekends ago. My mom and dad met us there and we had a great weekend! It was a 2 1/2 hour drive, but Grayson did great on the way there. It was all about timing...when did he need to eat, when would he sleep, etc. The way home was a little tougher for him, but he still did amazingly well for how much he usually despises car rides. We went on a walk around the lake Saturday where Grayson proceeded to dump his hat out of the stroller. We of course, didn't notice until we were all the way around the lake. Andy and I went to look for it and couldn't find it. We had walked right past it at the camp host spot! On the way back, we saw a little patch of snow and Andy took Otis to it since he normally likes to lick snow. Instead, he sprawled out on it to cool down! I wish I had had my camera with me :) It was a nice weekend all around. Typical camping weather...hot during the day and cool at night. Unfortunately we didn't have our a/c and it got pretty warm for Grayson napping, but we survived. Another great family adventure under our belts.
Andy in his float tube, ready to go fly fishing!
Feeding Grayson without his highchair was the hardest thing we did all weekend!
Baby in a basket...he was hard to keep contained, but he got sick of being held or playing on the bed.
The face to match the shirt, "Are these people really my relatives?"
Mama and Grayson, hitting the trail.
Hoffer Lakes, well worth the hike.
Otis, looking handsome.
Deep in concentration...

Hoffer Lakes, very pretty and peaceful.
