Two Months

Happy Saturday! Grayson and Andy are snoozing...no big surprise there! Things are going well in the newly expanded Keatts Household. Grayson is weighing 8 lbs 5 oz as of last Tuesday and is 21.5 in long. We found all of this out at his two month check up! I can't believe that appointment has come and gone already. He is doing so well, even though he's only in the 1st percentile :) I just know he will catch up as the year passes. The doctor expects him to double his birthweight quicker than most. He has a cute chubby chin roll and his legs are getting some meat to them. He's back to nursing full time and has been for a couple of weeks now. He was putting on 6 oz every three days there for awhile, so I guess it's working. What a crazy ride. So, what's new with Grayson? He's smiling and starting to "talk" as of the last couple of days. He had some random smiles and coos in the past, but now they're for real. Just in time for me to not be able to mark yes, he smiles and yes, he coos at last weeks appointment! Can I get a do over on the paperwork? He still really likes his sleep and is constantly changing his "schedule". I say this loosely because just like in the womb, what baby wants, baby gets. I'm constantly reminded that although he's technically nine weeks, he still wants to act like a four week old baby some times. Right now that means not sleeping at night anymore! He did a lot better last night, but we had some rough nights leading up to that. He's been snoozing in his crib during the day here and there, but it's a process full of tears for him and a long process of laying baby down, baby crying, soothing baby, repeat for me! He is a good baby though...still loves his baths (unless mama gets the water not quite to his specifications), isn't too terribly fussy on the whole and still the light of our lives. I sure do love the little feller. We've been to Tri-Cities (quite the adventure), made a day trip to Winter Camp, and numerous shopping expeditions :) He loves his Baby Bjorn and loves looking out the window. His favorite place to be other than being held is on his changing table, fully clothed and with no sign of somebody changing his diaper, of course! He'll stare out his window and look around for a long time. So, I spend a lot of time standing at his dresser! Well, that's about all for now, lengthy, I know. I need to do this more often so I don't have so much catch up to do! I'll leave you with a couple of pictures...enjoy!

Swinging very seriously...

Such a cutie...

Hanging out with grandma...
